Port Gamble Historic District, Port Gamble, Washington

Master Plan

Port Gamble was originally a mill town established in the 1850s. The owners of the Port Gamble Mill built a company town using New England town layout and Victorian-style architecture, much of which is intact today. In 1995 when the mill closed, the company began to look for a new use for the town. The master plan developed looks at the resort potential of this quaint town on the Kitsap Peninsula, second home development on adjacent lands owned by the lumber company and recreational possibilities of the area.

Port Gamble presents a unique opportunity to repurpose a unique historic resource to the benefit of the owner and the public.
